Bulk feeders are of a basic design that are useful either alone, or as a building block component in more complex parts feeding applications.  Our bulk feeders lift parts in a random orientation from the hopper storage area.  Parts are then discharged randomly at a predetermined height, and a controlled rate as determined by the application.

Gravity feeders are the simplest form of part orientation systems produced by Aurora.  Parts are elevated from the hopper storage area and pass through a gravity tooling* orientor.  Parts are then discharged in the proper orientation at the height and rate required by the application.  Using a gravity feeder when appropriate ensures that the percentage of parts that must be  recycled is low.

Vibratory feeders are perhaps the most versatile feeders to orient parts that Aurora produces.  These units use vibratory motion to manipulate parts into the orientor tooling*.  Parts are then discharged in the proper orientation, at the rate required by the application.  These feeders are used mostly in conjunction with the bulk feeder which accommodates a greater range of discharge heights.  This is also an ideal feeder for applications that have to handle parts of different sizes, or require faster feed rates.

Gentle feed orientors are the perfect solution for those applications requiring gentle handling.  Parts are oriented by means of two opposing urethane belts and tooling*.  An Aurora bulk feeder, or an Aurora horizontal storage conveyor are used to supply parts to the gentle feed orientor.  Parts are discharged in the proper orientation, at the height and rate required by the application.
